Nawaz Sharif Wants Reforms In Civil Bureaucracy
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has emphasized upon structural
reforms in key ministries in a bid to improve governance and facilitate
the common people.
Chairing a high level meeting to review the governments reform agenda in
Islamabad, the prime minister directed that international experience
must be relied on in the services sector.
He observed that performance of officials is to be regularly evaluated and their services to the people would be the criteria in this regard.
The Prime Minister said government is focusing on short term and long term measures to improve the performance of the government institutions. He stated that the government will promote only dedicated and honest officials.
The meeting also discussed the setting up a cell for the monitoring and evaluation of ministries and subordinate departments.
